He began his conducting studies with Maestro Eleazar de Carvalho and twice won the Young Regents Competition of the Symphony Orchestra of the State of São Paulo, becoming the Principal Regent-Guest, working with Maestro Eleazar for almost 18 years until his coming to the city of Rio de Janeiro in 1994 for the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra, where he was Adjunct Director and later his Artistic Director.,O músico tem um álbum solo (póstumo) que foi lançado em 2002, um ano após a sua morte (e ano também que os Ramones entraram para o Rock and Roll Hall of Fame). Este álbum, intitulado de "Don't Worry About Me", contém a regravação de "What a Wonderful World"..
